Artist Application

Maple Grove Chalkfest invites artists to apply to participate in this annual community street art festival. Use the form below to share information about your work and availability. Applications will be reviewed after the submission deadline, and selected artists will be contacted directly.

Eligibility & Commitment

  • Artists must be available for the full two-day event

  • Event dates: June 13-14, 2026

  • Working hours are approximately 10:00am–5:00pm each day

  • Artists must work on their piece throughout the festival and complete their assigned square by festival close on Sunday, June 14.

Artwork Guidelines

  • Artwork must be family-friendly

  • No nudity, political statements, or promotional messaging

  • No words or symbols intended for advertising

  • Artwork may not violate copyright or trademark laws

  • No writing outside the assigned square

  • The full artist square must be utilized

Materials & Submission Requirements

  • Only non-toxic soft pastels are permitted
    (oil pastels, acrylic, gouache, markers, etc. are not allowed)

  • Selected artists must submit a sketch of their proposed artwork by May 1, 2026

  • The festival will provide and install an information sign with:

    • Artist name

    • Home state/country

    • Sponsor name (if applicable)
